Brigadramon vs Metal Garurumon (X)

I love drawing Digimon, I love drawing mechas with giants guns, and I love finally starting to get a grip on backgrounds

I went through my favorites on DevArt and found those old pictures. Aka: The one Digimon project that I started so often and never finished. lol (Artwork was done as a commission back then, but sadly the person seems to be MIA for years now.)

Basically, the backstory to this is as follows: I did really love all the X-Digimon stuff back in the day, and Digimon Chronicle. But back in the day Digimon Chronicle just got those few pages with the Digimon Pendulum X and that was it. So I wanted to write a fanseries based on that.

I started that one a couple of times. I think three times. The last one was Digimon Clash, which these commissions were for.

I do remember that I shipped Kouta and Yuuji, though. lol There were a couple other characters in this, too. Dunno. Will I ever start this a fourth time? xD

Personal character design(s)/fan digimon at the moment. I need to design their not digimon form at some point, but they've started out as one from a while back. These designs are still somewhat tentative (Leedsmon and Tsumemon I am still considering tweaking. Them hips.) I initially didn't plan this line to be an X Digimon line, but as I redid the line from my first concepts a long time back, I felt it was fitting. Normally darkness element; due to character reasons (which I might not go into here) this digimon has had a holy ring grafted into their data. Their element tends towards light now, even as their form remains monstrous and weakened by its effects. 1st image is the rookie Shamimon - an alternate name for the Damascus Goat. They are a healer in this form with no damaging attacks in a conventional manner. 2nd Image are a take on Kuramon and Tsumemon as X digimon. The fur is more a quirk carried over by Shamimon themselves, and I imagine a normal version would not have fuzz. They have begun to mutate visually to fit Keramon X somewhat. 3rd Image is the Champion called Leedsmon, a Digimon based on the Jersey Devil. Though weakened somewhat by the holy ring, their primary focus is cunning and attrition.

Margaux, a child that was taken into Versandii(a digiworld) at a very young age and has become feral. She was provided with a wild pig’s head and she wears it like a mask/helmet. The morbid accessory houses a hive of ‘Swarmmon’ which gives the head a ‘rotting’ aura. Swarmmon are tiny bug Digimon that will infect  disintegration data and convert whatever is leftover into new ‘undead’ varieties.(not shown yet)

Her partner is a larger-than-usual Pagumon-X who evolves into Gazimon X.(also larger-than-usual) The Dogmon is my own take on an Xai-core variant. Though its odd appearance can also be attributed to association with Margaux.

Two kids I'm poking at to eventually work them into a fully original story if I can work them out a bit externally. Following off the post here, Jeanne Agard's works with the goat kid Shamimon/Thierry. Jeanne loves music while Thierry is the type to ask questions about everything... Jeanne is never quite sure what to expect on a day-to-day basis with the odd kid.

Debating… might delete this but felt like putting some sketches up. Just been too sick lately for anything. Might put em on Insta if I feel ok about this too. Just some (re) designs of a Baohackmon X and their partner. Yeah there’s a Hackmon X but don’t feel like putting that up here since the drawing’s older.
Some of the sketches have been sitting around a bit but yeah. The first drawing I’m playing around with to see if I can make it this Tumblr’s background but might be better to go with a simpler design. Ah well, a trip into an acid trip’s fine I guess either way. Progress shot I suppose.
