Happy New Year, @pikkachan, I’m your pinch-hitter Digimon Secret Santa~
(This takes place probably between Adventure and 02, Matt’s starting to grow out his hair.)
My present for @tony-tony-pikachu for the Digimon Secret Santa! I’m sorry for being late, but I hope you like this.
Hello, Mimi.
I know we have been exchanging text messages, but I wanted to send something a bit more personal and lengthy. I probably sound like an old-fashioned grandma, but there are things that no amount of technology can really replace (not that new tech is inherently bad, but you get it). And, for some reason, I like the feeling of holding a pencil and writing on a piece of paper, then sending it, with no copies, no backups, just the one and only piece of it that exists in this whole world and many other universes.
I would just like do let you know that I miss you. And, in all honesty, I am not the only one. All the Chosen Children do, even if a few are more vocal about it. I can sense it, we are not quite complete without you, and it makes sense after all – we are an incomplete team without you.
I do not want to make you feel bad about moving, living in the US must be a nice experience. It is just that I would like to let you know that you’re dearly missed and will be welcomed with warm hugs if you ever come back, even if I have the feeling you already know that very well.
I attached some photos from the last few months, I hope you like them.
Best wishes,
Sora Takenouchi

Hey there Sora!!!
It’s Mimi. Though you probably knew from the envelope. But I guess that, if you’re always so careful of how everyone’s doing, the least I can do is help you do whatever you might need to, right? I was so happy when I saw your letter on my desk when my mom left it there! Even though the formality overall was a bit off-putting. We’re friends, you already know there’s no need for any of that!
Things have been pretty good here in the US. It took me some time getting used to the food again, it’s kind of funny how most food here has such a flat but much stronger taste, but other than that and the jet lag, which I managed to solve in a few days, I really felt at home here almost instantly once more. You know how sometimes I’d be in an awkward situation because I was too touchy-feely? I had almost forgotten how much I was just average here, and it felt so good to be a bit more free to show my true colors.
Oh dear, if I start off a letter stating how much I love a “new” place it will probably sound like I have zero intention to come back, doesn’t it? You know how I am. But you don’t have to worry. It’s not forever. Dad won’t work forever and I won’t live with him forever either. I love the US, but I can’t picture myself cutting off ties with Japan.
Mainly because that’s where the Chosen Children I love so much are. You know, I already knew I missed everyone, but these photos you’ve sent to me made me realize it that much more. It kind of sucks seeing you have so much fun knowing I am not there to be goofy and happy with you all, even if I’m also making my own good memories with my American, non-Chosen Children friends (and that probably makes me a bit unfair for not enjoying my friends here properly). Most of them had already been sent to me on the phone, but you’re kind of right with all that grandma speech, there are a few things that will never be replaced, and I think it includes the feeling of the paper and the glow from light showering the photos every morning. Or even the warm feeling of being remembered and cared for that only receiving a personal, handwritten letter that was sent to you from thousands of miles away gives. Geez, did I just try being poetic? Anyway, tell everyone I miss you all.
I sent some of the candies the Digimon liked the last time I brought them to Japan. Be sure to share with everyone equally! I trust that you’ll be able to do it, but you know how much of a glutton Agumon can be sometimes. You can never be too careful!
Kisses,
Mimi

Hi Mimi.
I shared all the candy equally between the Digimon. Most of them ended up just eating everything they’d received right at the spot, so I wanted to take a photo with everyone holding their cute bags of candy but, as always, expectations never match reality. I still took a photo with everyone holding as much candy there was still left… Or the empty candy package, and it was still endearing, so I decided to send it to you.
Thanks for making yourself easily recognizable in the letter, though your personality showed perfectly just from the rest of the letter and your handwriting. On a completely unrelated note, I don’t think you should feel bad for enjoying the US. Japan may be your homeland, but there’s no need to feel tied down to one place. We the Chosen Children will always miss you dearly, so don’t you dare worry about being forgotten or no longer being considered part of the group, we’ll always remember you and wish for your presence. I guess what I mean by that is that you’ll always have a place to go back, but don’t have to feel pressured to do so. Of course we want to see you from time to time and make sure with our own eyes that you’re doing well, but nobody wants to consider being a Chosen Children a burden or something that keeps us from doing whatever we might want to, so I don’t see why you should take it any differently just because you’re across the world.
A new set of gachapon key straps was released for that franchise you liked. Thought you’d like them. There are way too many of the red one compared to the rest, but you know how gachapon works. Hope you like them.
Hope to see you soon,
Sora.
PS: I hope I wasn’t too formal.

I am moving back to Japan.
I’m probably arriving before this letter, but who cares? I landed myself a role at a TV series on Japanese TV!

It’s funny how you sent me a letter from the other side of the world just with two phrases with no identification.

You now I’m still going to keep it along with the others, right?
My Digimon Secret Santa gift for @trilea! I am so sorry it’s a tad late! I got a late start to it (oops...) and then lost a decent portion of my progress from PS crashing on me (of course), so I’ve been scrambling to get this finished in a timely fashion. A bit late for Christmas, but I hope you like it anyway and have a wonderful holiday season! I had a lot of fun with this - thank you @secretsantamon for organizing it! ^_^
Merry Christmas, @digimonkaizer, I was your Digimon Secret Santa! I had a lot of fun drawing the Kens, I hope you like it!
Secret Santa for @beelko of their trainersona and Mukade! Happy holidays, dude!
@cosmographia Hi! I was your Secret Santa for the Digimon Secret Santa event. I had alot of fun doing this, I’ve never drawn these three before, so getting the opportunity was really neat,
I wanted to draw Terriermon playing a bit of a holiday prank on Impmon, and decided Terriermon and Lopmon wrapping Impmon up in christmas lights would be fun to try to draw.
I hope you like it!
MERRY CHRISTMAS @baconator4ever!!!! I’m so sorry this is so late in the evening ;;
I really wanted to make this more awesome but my tablet broke ;;;;;; Thank you for your patience!!! Have a wonderful holiday season!!!
@secretsantamon for @leye13infinity, a Wizardmon drawing. Happy holidays.
