Bakura made a first turn in the shop pretending to search for something. They stopped at the tgc section and looked at the different boosters, taking some in their hands like they were in deep thoughts about which to buy.
So. Three cameras, but they got the blind spots. Only one vigil at the front, and the cashier wasn't paying much attention. For a KaibaCorp's shop, Bakura would have thought the security would be higher. Sure, most items had an antitheft lock, but nothing they weren't capable of taking out.
Bakura put down the boosters, sighing like they didn't find anything interesting. They turned to the Monster World section of the shop. They were freeloading at Ryou's place for now, and while getting a real job wasn't in their priority list now, Bakura still wanted to get something for their ex-host. And the figure of a monster on that shelf looked just like the right thing. Not that they would make it obvious. They would just leave it on Ryou's bed and then pretend it wasn't their doing.
Sure, Bakura could have paid for it, but it wasn't nearly as fun. Or they could have taken it from a shop with less security. Like Yugi's grandpa shop. But as much as Bakura didn't like Yugi, it didn't feel right to steal from an old man doing his best to sustain his family. However… Seto Kaiba certainly wouldn't even notice a few missing yen.
Bakura took a figure in their right hand, inspecting it. The left one, hidden from the cameras' view, took the one he targeted. The figure ended in their hoodie's front pocket without anyone noticing. While pretending to still look at the items on the shelf, he played with the stolen good with his fingers. A smile perked at the corner of their lips when they felt the security lock going lose.
"They really have nothing good." They sighed, still going on with their bored customer act. They turned to the book shelf this time and pretended to look at it to hide the security lock among the magazines.
Alright. Their work was done. Satisfied, they turned around to leave the place.
