since posting my first artfight attack this year, and by extent one of my first pieces of digital art, I’ve realized that when I put my art pieces from Ibis paint (yes I’m still using Ibis paint, sue me. I’ll get procreate once I’ve gotten familiar with digital art) into tumblr that the image quality gets eaten :/ so if any of y’all know how to help with that pls lemme know and until then pls just bare with me and the crumpled resolution
Anyone have any good tips for posture while drawing on an iPad? Like things to avoid for the sake of my arm or wrist, stuff like that
Trying to get myself into drawing digitally, but every time I do it feels childish looking. I have Corel Painter 2023, but my God am I overwhelmed.
How do you guys practice drawing characters in different positions changing their posture n such?
I feel I can only copy images unable to move them
hey does anyone know of any procreate brushes that match the feel of paint tool sai brushes? im kind of losing my shit bc procreate brushes are so. blehhh. and the blur tool is fucking abysmal in comparison too 😭
I sat down to draw an animal band, perhaps make a simple animatic for a gif but then i got a little carried away with the owl’s upright bass and haven’t really continued since.
Should I just sketch out the rest of the animals, paste the overly detailed bass in and leave it at that or should I continue this illustration?

Digital art is convenient in so many ways (like being able to draw while laying down which oftentimes enabled me to draw at all) but also at the moment i still use most of my time figuring out how to best use the programs tools, troubleshooting etc. I am getting better though and having a neat little digital storage space means my unfinished projects don’t get lost to the voids of my doom boxes and -drawers. On the other hand the ability to zoom in is a slippery slope because all my projects end up being pixel art during the process. I just can’t help it. Also the bass almost crashed my Ipad. The typical tips to fix that you find online mostly work for me. I turned down the brightness so the battery lasts a lot longer and stopped drawing while charging so it doesn’t overheat anymore. I don’t really like turning down the brightness as it throws off my colour work sometimes but it improved battery life so much that i begrudgingly accepted my fate. However, I still have issues with my pen’s input suddenly glitching all over the screen. I will either get or make myself a drawing glove at some point soon though i am unsure if that will help as i have tried to set my hand on a cloth for cleaning glasses and still had the issue. Is it because the microfibre also generates static electricity and causes the screen to glitch? If so, what fabric can I use for the gloves? Another issue I have is that Procreate does often start buffering. Does anyone know if that is a Procreate, usage behaviour or Ipad issue? I have the Ipad Pro 4th gen so i assumed the hardware should be sufficient to use Procreate…. Are there any things you should avoid to improve performance? Are there other apps that run more smoothly?
If anyone has insight I would really appreciate hearing it.

What size canvas do you guys use on digital art?
I use CSP and I default to 10k x 10k and then I'm lost and everything's work?
Like I use a big brush size and then I lose focus?
