What is SATcon 2020? SAT (at home con) 2020 is an online con for all of your cancelled or rescheduled con needs. It’s a digital place, hosted on Discord, for artists, cosplayers, writers, and congoers to do what they would normally do if the world wasn’t suddenly on fire! AKA, a place to look at cool art, talk about your favorite fandoms, post cool cosplay pics, pick up some neat prints or merch, request commissions, etc. It’s also a great place to support those people who are suffering the most from multiple con cancellations - the amazing vendors whose income relies on cons.
When will the con be hosted? The con will be hosted on June 13th and 14th, though the server will be open before then. During that weekend, the staff will be putting on server games, art and writing challenges, a scavenger hunt, fandom meetups, and more!
What’s the difference between vendors and featured creators? Vendors are our artists, writers, or creators who can either take commissions and/or have open shops (on sites like redbubble, etsy, or a personal website) where they can sell prints/merch. Our featured creators are those creators who cannot accept commisions, do not have a shop, but are interested in expanding their following by having their works exhibited in our featured creator channel.
How do I become a vendor or featured creator? The application is available in our linktree! The application for becoming both a vendor and a featured creator is the same application. Once you’ve submitted an application, a staff member will reach out to you to figure out what would suit you best.
Will their be panels? At the moment, the staff is very limited. We have decided that planning is beyond our current ability, but we are open to suggestions and assistance! If you have a good idea, please let us know. We are still planning in server events, including streaming times for a few shows, but the decisions on what shows at what time will be discussed and decided as we get closer to the date.
