#digital friends

I wasn't planning to do that, at least not now, but I'm an anxious person, so here we go:

For most time of my life, I kept things to myself, I still do that most of time, including the things I like to see or do. I always loved to draw, and when I like an anime, a tv show, a game, I become passionate about it, just like I'm now with tadc and mainly bunnydoll... but as always, I keep it to myself. So, finding a place where I can show the things I like is something very precious to me.

As if it wasn't good enough, I found so many cool people, people that love many of the things I love too. Talented people, artists, writers...

And the top of the cherry is that some of those people are really supportive to me and my silly little doodles :3 you guys don't know how happy I get whenever you, such talented people, praise something I did. I couldn't be more thankful.

And for this, I dedicate this doodle of Jaiden with her dearest siblings, representing each of my precious friends around here.

I was thinking about Custom Robo and how there hasn't been a Custom Robo game since the Nintendo DS as a shower thought.

And I remembered something.

Back with Custom Robo Arena on the DS, there were scenes where it hammered home how much of the Main Character you were.

Like, for example, the MCs friends would tell you to go home and rest up for the big important match tomorrow while they stayed at the clubhouse and fixed the big holo deck in the room.

And I would always RP that instead of going home, I'd stay and help fix it with them.

Because perhaps one of my fantasies in games like that wasn't to be the big important hero, but just as important as my digital npc friends.

Not so much bringing myself down to their level, more bringing them up to mine. We're a team, so I shouldn't get special treatment.

I miss you, and I hope you’re alright

I think it was a couple years ago now, that I had a friend on here. We couldn’t talk very often, and not for very long, but it was nice just knowing that he was there (even digitally although physically we are are 1000s of kms away).

We couldn’t talk anymore, and that made me really sad, as he was the first online friend I have ever made (I was new to being online and having social media and stuff). But I still think about him nearly every day. We haven’t talked in at least a year now. I hope he’s alright.

It’s clear that any friend of mine isn’t in the best place, and I know that he fit that description pretty well. And when we said goodbye, I hoped that it wasn’t for the last time.

Old friend, I hope that you are okay, I hope that you will find this and we can have a conversation again. Know that I miss having you there, know that I hope with my whole heart (whatever is left) that you are coping in this chaotic world that we live in. And know that the agreement that we made when we parted still stands, and it’s okay for you to talk to me again. I hope you do. I don’t even know if you are still on this website, (your username doesn’t exist anymore, every few days I look for it). But if you are, under another name. Please just let me know that you are alright.

If you are not my friend (you can be though :) ), let this be a message to all of you that have estranged online friends, give them love, let them know that they are important to you, just because we cannot see each other, doesn’t mean that I don’t dream of you at night. 

Please come home...
