Decide to make it it's own post, so here's a little webcomics rec list !!
I've already mentioned Dead End Host by @/supppe, the story of Martin who wakes up one day in bed with a very affectionate physical manifestation of his brain parasite, Taenia "Tänny" Solium. It's unique, visceral and horrific, yet erotic, and perhaps, even... romantic ? The art is gorgeous, and it has wormed its way into my brain, not unlike a certain parasite.
Another horror comic, Dust & Dread by @/leslekieuart and @/louceph. We follow Clayton, a resurrected corpse full of bugs, and Holt, a particularly haunted werewolf, as hired guns in a western setting. The black and white art is striking, and it has genuinely chilling moments, making your skin crawl.
On a less creepy side, Digital Hell by @/cuddledhormone is fairly recent, but I've been impatient for each updates. Ryder, famous vtuber, wants to take revenge on Junko, also a vtuber but also her bully from highschool. Of course, Ryder comes up with a convoluted plan to trick and expose her that starts with meeting up and having fun and eating cake and... wait, what ? We're heading for some delightful toxic yuri with charming and unique characters.
Lastly, Peony by @/cowinf. It's on hiatus right now, but iirc it's nearing its conclusion ! Peony is a great comedy comic, following the hijinks of Peony, a troublemaker with an attitude, and her run-in with a mysterious guy named Guy. I don't want to spoil it, cause I think the twist is better if you have no idea what's coming. But if this blurb can't convice you, then maybe the colorful, cartoonish neon artstyle will.
