Between reality and fantasy, the paintings by Artem Chebokha
Between reality and fantasy, Artem Chebokha’s digital paintings travel on these two distant and almost unreachable poles.
But with his imagination the Russian artist manages to shorten this unbridgeable distance, his shades of blue and gray form and invent volatile environments and universes.
His special technique is called “Impasto”, a digital technique that he has refined over time and that has partly defined his style. Thanks to this special technique Artem Chebokha is able to reproduce oil painting.
If you pay close attention in each of his works you can see those pigments typical of oil painting, from his desk he is able to harden every detail as the oil in contact with oxygen over time creates an insoluble and resistant film.
