!! LONG POST BELOW !!

I've been seeing a lot of opinions being shared on the Simply Plural and Octocon shutdown situation, but not many posts compiling things to do personally while new alternatives are being made... so I thought I'd make one.

If these don't work for your system, don't beat yourself up. If you want more advice, feel free to send an ask or leave a comment! I'm also certain there's other things you can do, but these are things my system use. Pluralkit is mentioned lots here... and frankly, it's because pluralkit is such a solid monolith I hardly think it's going anywhere.

The blog I mentioned archiving/making essentially a database of projects for systems is @systemprojects ! I hope you don't mind being mentioned, I think your blog is very well organised and many will find it useful.

And here's a link to Lighthouse for a journalling website/app made with systems in mind.

I might make a text version of this depending on how well it performs, but likely in a separate post or a reblog as to not make this too long!!

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!! here's a comic about pride and identity as a DID system...

i really wanted to get this out in the middle of the month, but it's taken a long time for others to do their parts... this has been a wip since the start of june so i'm glad it's done

generic "persecutors can be the best protectors" post, but with an example of an alter that is still a persecutor.

anyway, people need to cut persecutors some slack. the more you persecute THEM, often the worse it'll get, and you'll both get hurt. respect them like how you want to be respected, and with enough patience to see through your differences [YES, WHEN I SAY PATIENCE I MEAN FROM BOTH SIDES!!!!!!!] , you'll make progress.

oh and btw dont slap the persecutor label on an alter either unless they agree they are one. while one of the points of this is that i don't think the role should be frowned upon at all, i get why some don't like it. the stereotype and stigma isn't gonna just... disappear overnight... sadly...

digital yellow doesn't see what he's had to handle as the root for his behaviours (though... it's the reason he split in the first place..) and while he doesn't exactly mirror our abusers, it's more... well. where is this coming from man. he doesn't do it angrily and seemingly more for 'fun' unlike them too, but. as provided. ultimately he does care and doesn't want all this to eat away at us too deeply, he handles the fallout, and he's extremely protective when it comes to others hurting us. i know he does have a perception that only he is allowed to hurt me... and considering he's not doing much of that nowadays, that's pretty fine with me. even if it's not good it seems to be a foundational belief

him being a persecutor is integral to his role internally especially to do with being a gatekeeper and enforcing the roles of others, and i mean. this is what we need as a system. and it's also a huge reason why i think the term shouldn't be so frowned upon... it can be a productive role. it can do good. that 'antagonistic' part might not actually even be antagonising you at all when you reframe things and look at the larger picture. i guess it truly is protector in a different font, even if some persecutors don't like that.

blehhh again i'm certain he'd wanna make his own comic he can get into the specifics. ramble ovber. can you tell i lost my train of thought a few times through making this??

More serious this time, about trauma dates. This was going to be heavier but I hate oversharing and I guess I need to be an overwhelming optimist.

This is about one I remember well. But I might make another comic about the ones you don't even realise sneaking up on you.

we've been doing this quiz lately whenever someone who hasnt done it is around at the suggestion of our best friend, for fun.. i think it's insanely funny how i got total normal typing so i'm just a little very average creature while digital yellow straight up got legendary/mythical exclusive typing, for pokemon like lunala... it's Very fitting, dont get me wrong. this quiz reads your personality pretty well

some others have done it but i didnt want to draw their results as much/its not as comical.. maybe i'll make more parts to this comic once more have done it so i can draw a big batch

"well, bright pink, why did you make a comic then?" because i love torturing myself obviously, lmao. idk, keeping this weird little comic diary thing is cute anyway and it's kinda nice to get my thoughts down ig.

anyway there's plenty of other examples in the system of differing interests but this is one that was obviously pretty prominent in our lives. i think it's also so like... a great example of learning to work with the system overall more, y'know? we found a different career path that we all like, and it feels wayyyy better knowing i'm not gonna be totally miserable in daily pursuits and stuff. even if mental and physical health gets in the way of working and all thatttt... that's another story, maybe for another time, idk.
