Rural Impact Sourcing Technical Training (RISTT) is one of the flagship projects of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) to bring digital opportunities in the countryside. For todays launch, the RISTT program is activated in San Jose, capital town of Dinagat Province. The RISP is intended to create meaningful ICT-enabled jobs in socio-economically disadvantaged areas in the coubtry. The progran specifically focuswa ib areas where there is high population but low employment due to lack of investors. With internet, and the skills provides by the selected and vetted trainors, trainees are expected to find VA jobs before graduation. Personally, this is an interesting way for me to revisit my path as a VA which started in 2008. [NORTHERN SAMAR] After the successful Rural Impact Sourcing Workshop conducted in the Island Province of Siquijor last June 02, 2017, the Knights of Online Marketers (KOM) was again invited by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to be the Resource Speaker and Workshop Facilitator for another one-day Rural Impact Sourcing Workshop.
