Shri Vijay Kumar, IAS, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, visited the Administrative Building of Paradip Port Authority and conducted a detailed Port Review Meeting with senior officers. He also interacted with key stakeholders, discussing strategies to enhance port performance, strengthen logistics infrastructure, and promote sustainable maritime growth.
Shri Vijay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, visited the KICT Silo Loading System and reviewed its automated cargo handling operations. The silo system enhances loading efficiency, ensures dust-free handling, and supports faster evacuation of cargo—strengthening Paradip Port’s commitment to safe, clean, and high-performance operations.
Shri Vijay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, reviewed key mechanised cargo handling facilities at Paradip Port, including the NIOB Wagon Tippler and the MCHP Stacker and Reclaimer.
He assessed wagon unloading efficiency, coal stacking and reclaiming performance, and the capability of these mechanised systems to support faster, safer, and high-capacity cargo movement.

He reviewed berth readiness, vessel movement systems, and key marine operations. Shri P L Haranadh , Chairman, PPA during the visit reaffirmed the Port’s commitment to enhanced efficiency, safety, and future capacity expansion.
