“The Illusionist”
Who knew that actually having things to do would inspire me to start drawing again. I also recently got a new sketchbook with nice paper, so that was also an incentive.
Audiences are guaranteed to be delighted whenever this flashy illusionist performs! With the snap of his fingers, he can transform the inn into a colorful wonderland and make anything he desires appear out of thin air.

Like the art? It (and the dragon that comes with it) will be up for sale soon at the Carrefour Inn!

Mike Knows She's An El-lusion—His Will and Kali Analogy 🪄
Illusionist wizards can create bridges and walls—metaphors for the Upside Down in the show. They are tricksters with the power of deception, like the painting lie. With the ability to cast doubles or stand-ins, create objects (for a minute, like Kali's powers), and come from the astral plane (the void, what the neon sign represents above)(source).
A neutral good illusionist casts illusory reality for the good of others bound by morals rather than laws or the disregard for rules. The "x" over Will's heart suggests he cast El, the mage, and built the Upside Down (which represents internalized homophobia) to repress his feelings on behalf of Mike (the suppression stone) as that was what he thought was the right thing to do.
TL:DR; The fact Mike, in his campaign, lead Will to summon the Mage, aka El, then seconds later repeated this in his theory of Kali casting her, means he is self-aware. Mike knows that Will used El as an illusory double for his romantic attraction. It's more obvious when the final credits classifies Will as an illusionist, like Kali.
If you want to read more about this theory, check out part one:

How to entertain a cat and an iguana, and an imp in a cage. (Denis Beauvais cover for Dragon 104, December 1985). I love when wizards have anachronistic items in their workshops (look on the shelf just to the right of the crystal ball).
Fantasm, the fantastical show-stopping illusionist! This adoptable was made for @flightrising and has since gone on to his fabulous forever home.
WIP Wednesday
Thank you @anilliscarts & @chiqita & everyone who has tagged me in previous weeks! I noticed I have this bad habit of never posting the finished version of pieces if I post a WIP, so that’s why I’ve been so bad at posting them. I love seeing what y’all tag me in!
Tagging @caz-the-yarncromancer @sweet-milky-tea705 & you!
These are both wip experiments as I try new things, brushes, lighting etc.
Hey, it’s not evil if you’re on the right side of history, right??
