Yep, this is the end! The Curlystraw catastrophe is done, but not for any bad or tragic reasons. It was a fun project to make bad edits of MTMTE/LL panels while I reread the series. And I’ve always appreciated things that end before they get too forced or jump the shark. I finished my reread, had my fun, and this is as good a place as any to finish things.

Thank you all for leaving such funny tags/comments on my edits! And stay tuned for a fun announcement tomorrow....

preach! you can only keep up the illusion of a likeable army general for so long - and i think most fans of op as a character know its just that, an illusion. getting into the nitty gritty of his psyche with attempted realism absolutely destroyed that illusion

the problem is they didnt want to condemn his actions! they tried to pretend that it was Gray Morality (colonizing this planet will Protect it from bad things like that doesnt. have implicit VERY bad vibes) and we see people question his motivations but outside a little of that he. never faces Tangible Consequences for like, any of the bad things he does in the name of Freedom. my biggest issue with idw op is that he was made a cop which is NOT a job about protection but about order. if they wanted to push him as a character with righteous morals they should have had him in a position of protection, not order keeping

I’m not consistent enough between character narration versus mun narration they kind of get mixed sometimes and I’m trying to get better about that, BUT IT’S GREAT TO HEAR IT’S NOT TOO CONFUSING and you enjoy my take on grumpy old bot, thank you <3
