TASK 001 :  LIVING SITUATION

camilla’s living situation is just  a little bit  all over the place  ---  much like herself. for the most part, she occupies a few rooms in cosimo’s vast mansion ;  although she scarcely needs more than a bedroom, a bathroom,  &  some space for her  ( steadily growing )  assortment of clothes. for the most part, she can be found swimming or in the communal living spaces, trailing her family around the house. being not much of a fan of personal space,  technically ,  she doesn’t really need any other living quarters  ---  but as she needs  something  to do with all of her sudden free time, now, she outfitted a little cottage by the lake for herself. she has a foible for  blues  and  teals ,  and while her furniture mainly reminisces a  retro-land house-chique  there’s enough beach decor she cobbled together ;  for one, due to her longstanding appreciation for the  sea ,  and for another, because it’s a reminder of her space at  home . the cottage is small, leaving space only for necessities  ---  but there’s already a room set up for aurora and leilani, once they’re old enough to visit.

TASK 001 :  LIVING SITUATION

“THE QUEEN’S CASTLE is hidden in the depths of the forest and cannot be entered by anyone that did not receive an invitation from the queen herself.” The stone castle can be seen in the distance from every corner of the realm built by ancient faeries centuries past; however, stepping inside Cirilla’s chambers feels as if you have entered a different place entirely. The room holds an ode to harmony with the environment—the stone replaced with wood, indoor waterways trickle along the floor from the front door to the main room, rays of sunshine beam through skylights during the day ( revealing the stars at night ). An elevated round bed with cream drapes sits in the corner, a round enchanted mirror to the side, a bath with red petals and a pool of emerald water infused with healing properties wraps around it. Through the rounded door way leads to a swing overlooking an illusion of water where the Queen sits to forget and get lost within the endless ocean.

task 001 :  living situation

darcy occupies one of the cottages close to the woods; secluded enough to feel  safe ,  but still accessible to potential customers. she put a lot of effort  ( and magic )  into making it her home ,  however temporary  ---  the walls, windows, and doorways are lined with carved sigils; the quaintly patterned tapestry painted with specially mixed potions. all meant to  hide ,  to  obscure ,  to make the space seem uninteresting and ordinary and  boring  ( when it was anything but. )  there’s a front porch where she likes to have her morning coffee and  spy on  observe  passers-by. the entryway leads to the  kitchen,  where most of her business takes place; although occasionally, she’ll let someone get cozy by the fireplace in the living room. shelves full of conjured and collected books, tools, and useful nick-nacks line the walls of that place; a variety of indoor plants take up whatever space is left, even in the bathroom. the bedroom is small but cozy, and the least cluttered space in the entire house, besides a few clothes and blankets strewn around. a door in the living room leads to the back porch, reserved for  friends and secrecy ,  which overlooks the  garden.  besides the lavish, blooming plant and vegetable patches, there’s an old, rusty bathtub with spices growing in it, and a small flowerbed lines the way to the greenhouse.

Task One: Living Situation

As is surprising to no-one, Lucrecia’s home is as dramatic as she is. Or it was anyway. Lu has tried to re-create her home in Italy as best she can in the Seelie realm, right down to the sleek black cars sitting idle in the garage that she doesn’t need anymore. There’s nothing simple about her house; she chose one of the larger homes in the village because she’s grown accustomed to living large, but she wasn’t willing to give something up in return for one of the mansions. 

Lu’s theme is black and white. Every room is decorated lavishly in tones of black and white with heavy black drapes blocking the sunlight from every window. Magical extension charms put in place by a warlock friend allow her to have a grand sweeping staircase and a foyer, along with a walk in closet the size of her downstairs living area.

ELINA chose a fairly small 2 bedroom home in the village, not seeing the need for such a large space all to herself. Her place has an open floor plan so that the space feels much larger than it actually is. On top of this, her furniture is minimal, and since she thinks her stay in the seelie realm isn’t permanent, she doesn’t bother to buy anything she doesn’t need. Elina doesn’t have an eye for design, so she started out with pieces that she loved and from there, slowly bought furniture that somewhat matched the theme of the room. She settled with navy blue, pink and gold as the three main colors used all over the house. ONE room that is different from the rest of the house is the spare bedroom turned into a hobby room which is where she spends most of her time in. Here, Elina displays some memorabilia she’s obtained over the years such as a gramophone as well as some books she’s currently reading. She also has a vinyl player with an extensive collection of her favorite records. You can also find a violin, flute and a harp in this room.

&  CAMILLA  /  TASK 001  →  living situation :  apartment in new york city .

THOUGH SHE  still has her rooms in her brother’s mansion  ( and occupies them frequently ) ,  camilla isn’t keen on getting stuck in the fae realm again ,  and prefers to entertain a small apartment in the city instead .  it’s the second floor of a  town house ,  with large windows and an open floor plan that divides space with archways rather than doors .  compared to her opulent residence in florence ,  the apartment is tasteful ,  but sparse  —  it’s obvious that she didn’t take much with her on her return to new york .  the entryway opens into the large  living room ,  which is mostly wood-paneled floor ,  though  zaira  has made sure there are comfortable chairs around a coffee table ,  plants and a few small paintings for decoration , and a side table camilla is  supposed  to work on but uses as a vanity instead .  the demon’s only addition to her friend’s decorating skills were her  sewing supplies  strewn around the room ,  consisting of several dress forms ,  a chest full of fabrics ,  and an ancient singer sewing machine ,  table and all .  ( she’s acquired the habit of working from pillows on the floor ,  back pain be damned . )  one of the windows towards the back of the house opens onto a  balcony  shaded by a tree .  an archway leads to the  kitchen ,  stocked with the essentials for cooking she does not do and a liquor cabinet ,  but not much else .  camilla’s  bedroom  is separated by a set of paneled double doors and similarly minimalistic  —  her wardrobe is neatly sorted on open clothes stands and her bed  ( though now in an intricately wrought ,  low brass frame rather than simply a mattress on the floor ,  on  cosimo’s  insistence )  stands directly underneath a window to catch a few glimpses of the sky as the weather allows .  the only  bathroom  goes off from there ,  and holds a claw-footed tub and a large paneled mirror above the marbel sink .  like the rest of the apartment ,  it’s held in tones of black and white ,  rose and gold ,  and emphasizes the large open spaces  —  they let her  breathe .

&  DARCY  /  TASK 001  →  living situation :  cottage by the wander woods .

DARCY OCCUPIES  one of the cottages closest to the woods ;  secluded enough to feel  safe ,  but still accessible to potential customers .  she put a lot of effort  ( and magic )  into making it her  home  —  the walls ,  windows ,  and doorways are lined with carved sigils ;  the quaintly patterned tapestry painted with specially mixed potions .  all meant to hide ,  to  obscure ,  to make the space seem uninteresting and ordinary and boring  ( when it was anything but ) .  the entryway leads to the  kitchen ,  where most of her business takes place ;  her desk is littered with papers and notebooks ,  and the majority of her tools are kept here .  the  living room  is reserved for friends and special cases ;  shelves full of conjured and collected books ,  objects ,  and useful nick-nacks line the walls of that place .  a variety of indoor plants take up whatever space is left ,  even in the bathroom .  the  bedroom  takes up the small attic space , and is the least cluttered place in the entire house ,  besides a few clothes and blankets strewn around .  a door in the living room leads to the back porch ,  which overlooks the  garden .  besides the lavish ,  blooming plant and vegetable patches ,  there’s an old ,  rusty bathtub with spices growing in it ,  and a small flowerbed lines the way to the greenhouse .  the property isn’t fenced in ,  but if trespassers aren’t put off by her wards ,  her only  roommate  manages to keep them away just fine :  there’s what appears to be a black boxer-stafford mix that’s been lurking around the property since before she moved in ,  and they happily coexist without bothering each other too much .  the dog doesn’t need to be fed or walked ,  though sometimes it’ll follow her around when it’s bored ,  and she occasionally brings it treats when it shows up to lay in the sun on the porch .  darcy has named it  cat ,  though it doesn’t react to the name or to any other command .

Task 001

Ash himself has had various properties in the mundane realm. He doesn’t like to stay in one place very often. Usually when he feels a change he sells and moves. He tends to go for what is modern at the time. 

In the fae realm he lives out in the woods far out from his family and most others. Though ash is a social creature he likes the peace of the woods. He doesn’t need too much to house him. He’s out fairly often with either friends or his brothers and sisters. The reason he stays away from his family is due to the relationship with his father. He changes his place’s appearance every 5-10 years.
