Task One - Living Situation
Feyre has lived in the heart of bustling London and the centre of the city of love itself, but the place she has felt most at home in was her little cottage in the English countryside. She has always lived alone except for a lovely ginger cat called Muffins (that just never seemed to age) and her on and off again lover. She’s not one for occupying a lot of space which is why she chose one of the cottages in the Seelie realm. There was never a reason for her to choose a larger house when she can put magical extensions on whatever room she likes. Which is exactly what she has done.
The house itself is surrounded by a chest-height wall that keeps her plants from spilling out into the lane. What would normally be a sitting room for guests has been turned into a small apothecary where she sells potions and trades magic for favours. There is a comfy seating area where friends and clients can make themselves at home.
Towards the back of the house is a large stone kitchen that always has a lovely warm fire going and freshly cut flowers sitting in the large Belfast sinks. Dried herbs hang from the ceiling and houseplants sit on every available windowsill, soaking up the sun. A round kitchen table occupies most of the space and the room smells like fresh baking and rosemary.
Her bedroom is simple; just a large king size bed and an ornate dresser, but there are large airy windows that she has taken advantage of by filling this room with houseplants as well. Leading from the bedroom is an ensuite and a doorway into another bedroom that has been magically enlarged and converted into an enormous walk in closet.
Books are scattered on every available surface around the house. Stacked up against walls, strewn on chairs, forcing bookcases to sag under their weight, you name it. The house is full of books and plants.
