@dcarhcarts is such an absolute delight.  not only does rose write so many different characters so well, she’s also so fun to talk to, and just a general positive presence in general!  honestly, all the thread we have are so much fun??  even when they get wild  ( because we’ve genuinely had conversations about which romanov kid would be easiest to kidnap, and tatiana may currently be getting kidnapped )  they’re always entertaining.  plus, she makes the most gorgeous promos!  follow rose if you love yourself.

i could take all day to rave about prue, and it still wouldn’t be enough.  @diiadcm is one of my oldest rp partners, from various blogs, and also one of my favorite people to talk to online.  she’s such a phenomenally talented writer, and honestly improves with every reply.   and her aesthetic is gorgeous  —  always 100% goals, i cannot recommend highly enough.  plus, all her original characters are so thoughtful and clever, honestly amazing.

@zharptiitsa portrays such a fascinating original character  —  not only does iskra’s character weave russian mythology into the lore of the firebird, she’s also such an interesting oc in general!  featuring wonderful writing and a lovely mun, i honestly smile every time i see this blog on my dash!

There is a glimmer of  H O P E  amid the darkness in his one good eye, though, as he glances at Esmeralda — the light that this world has tried to snuff out and failed to snuff out. He reaches for her hand, and as if it is some reassurance, recites again: “The world is WICKED.”

          nothing but fondness shines in grey eyes as she runs a hand along her puppy’s sleek back.  the dear little thing is content to sit for only a short time, but her energy is a welcome addition to the household.   things have been so subdued during wartime....     ‘ isn’t she a darling?  malama is so sweet...  i mentioned how much i’ve always wanted a puppy, and he went and sent me one! ’

                                        as if to voice her agreement, ortino utters a resounding grunt.

       ‘  i have never worried about it before. ’    she purses her lips, frowning down at her hands  ---   feeling acutely vulnerable and resenting herself for it.  princess reyna has done nothing to deserve the sorrows of a silly young girl.    ‘ it is not something i’ve ever had to worry about.   marriage. ’    the word tastes acidic on her lips.    ‘ my parents vow they will not force us into anything, but...  if one of us were to marry for political gain, it would be me.   i am best suited to it.   and i...  i feel very selfish sometimes, to dread the idea. ’

               SHE CANNOT keep the surprise out of her eyes.     ‘ why, i hardly recognize you! ’        has it really been that long?   so long that she has forgotten the youthful glow in the face of her childhood friend   —  that she has forgotten what it was like to be young?    tatiana avoids looking upon pictures from the past when she can, averse to the pain they bring.   this nearly-forgotten photo album, with faces she can no longer recall, stirs the tide of days long past.

                 SHE IS all-too-eager to embrace her cousin, after what feels like too long removed from the comforts of their extended family.  irina’s presence is always welcome in the imperial family’s tight unit.   ( more welcome than dmitry pavlovich, for even if she cannot play tennis as well she is five times more pleasant company.  the grand duchesses would choose one cousin over the other any day. )    

                ‘ irina, милая, it is so good to see you! ’      instantly, she has slipped into the mode of natural hostess   ;;   waving trupp away with the princess’ heavy coat, she seizes irina gently by the shoulder and plants light kisses on both cheeks.    tatiana’s attentions are not overwhelming, like the younger girls’ fawning enthusiasms.   she is all gentle warmth as she ushers her cousin into the parlor.      ‘ now that you are here, you simply must tell us all that you’ve seen during your time away.  oh, it is so very good to have you with us once more! ’

‘  you  really  don’t  need  to  worry  about  it,  irina.  ’  she  takes  her  cousin’s  hand  in  her  own,  squeezes  it.  ‘  none  of  what  happened  is  your  fault  ----  you  must  know.  ’  she  thinks,  not  for  the  first  time,  of  her  father  &  mother.  of  the  sisters  and  brother  she’s  lost. 

‘  you  had  a  daughter,  you  needed  to  think  about  her  first.  you’d  all  have  died  with  us  if  you  didn’t  flee.  ’
