I adore Stede so much it hurts.

Can we talk about Stede’s commitment to The Power of the Fake Map? Because he uses quite clearly fake maps in both seasons in differing ways as a device for ‘getting’ Ed; and it’s like the universe looks at Stede’s buoyant optimism and says, Boy, we clearly have to reward this nonsense. And just gives him Ed. Twice.

I mean, the maps contribute Jack shit other than earnestness and whimsy. And I love that.
