Believe or not I've given this a lot of thought before, hehe. I do imagine Jean sleeps in boxers! No shirt of course, no shirt EVER. In the summer, just his boxers. In the winter, a pair of sweatpants over his boxers.

Dilf!Jean also has a very strict bedtime routine. This is the true dad life, he's out hard by 9 pm and will wake up naturally around 7 am, or earlier depending on what Mason's doing. That's a lot of sleep, but Jean says he's got much more to make up for from all the sleepless newborn nights with Mason.

Imagine big, buff dilf! Jean coming home from wherever, to see you breastfeeding your baby, and going absolutely feral. He’s used to the sight, of course, but it still catches him off guard; seeing you there, the neck of your shirt pulled low, your bust on display. He tries to keep his cool as you pull a face when your baby bites down a little. Tries to keep his cool as you ease the now-sleeping infant off your breast. Tries to keep his eyes off you as you hand the fat little ball of a child to him, and he barely takes notice of the little thing. He just watches you remove your nursing bra from beneath your shirt, eyes glued to your nipples through the tight fabric. He’s practically drooling. After the two of you put the baby in it’s cot, all self control is thrown out of the window. He scoops you up, nuzzling into you, stubble brushing your neck. He stumbles out the room, his pretty little wife clinging to him, laughing as quietly as you can. He praises you for being his good girl, for looking after his baby. Your baby. He tells you that “pretty little mama needs to be looked after now, don’t you think?” and you nod, smiling tiredly. Dilf! Jean is a sight to behold. Having filled out a little more since your university years, he’s so big and strong, and you always feel tiny - even when you were pregnant. He throws you onto the bed, earning a joyful giggle, and pounces on top of you, looking at you with slowly ageing features - happy eyes, smile lines, a few grey hairs in his stubble and his hair. He’s older now, has the look of maturity, and it’s so hot on him. His hands set to work in a practiced fashion, knowing your body too well; with maturity also comes experience... -🍰anon

When they get home, Mason draws Jean a "Happy Father's Day" card :')) he draws Jean taking him to the library, and draws him comically tall, like the entire page

A couple years ago, Mason also told Marco and Connie Happy Father's Day because he was somehow convinced that they were also his dads

Mama Kirstein always insists on having Jean and Mason over for a Father's Day dinner and she does not hold back, she's cooking all the favorites!!

Jean and his dad have silently agreed that they don't need to do anything special for each other for Father's Day anymore, they just go to the liquor store and pick out a whiskey to try together.

this is so sad prepare yourself Privately, Jean dreads Father's Day because he feels that getting divorced makes him the worst dad.

Sasha and Connie like to get Jean gag gifts - Connie bought him a cell phone belt clip (Jean threw it at Connie's head, which left a bruise for a week), and Sasha got him pink handcuffs that say "Daddy" (mortified, Jean hid these under his bed).

In true Dad style, Jean has a grill set up in his backyard as well as wood working materials in his garage (this will be mentioned in Second Chances later).

(background for anyone unfamiliar is that Mason is Jean's five-year son in my fic)

YESSS. Jean's always been pretty active, so he wants to encourage the same healthy habits for his son.

For his most recent birthday, Jean got him one of those short, plastic basketball hoops for kids with a basketball that's as light as air.

Image this: a small clone of Jean trying so hard to make a basket with his new toy, but Mason's so young and unwieldy that he misses every time and gets really upset :( so Jean takes him out to the park across the street where there's an *actual* basketball hoop. Jean places his son on his shoulders while Mason holds the light basketball, walks up to the hoop, and he throws it in - he loves it!

Jean teaches him how to dribble and it's hilarious because Mason keeps losing the ball, but his father is a patient and kind teacher - he really just wants Mason have fun and learn something new.

Jean signs Mason up for a week-long summer basketball clinic and he's way more nervous than his son. He's sitting in the bleachers and chewing his nails, terrified that Mason won't like it, that he'll get hurt, that kids will bully him, etc. Turns out Mason does enjoy it, but he's even more excited to go back home and get back to his books (he takes after his Uncle Armin here).

Jean has also signed up Mason for tee ball in the fall - baseball wasn't Jean's favorite as a kid, but he wants to make sure his son has the chance to try everything.

Of course Jean would love it if his son followed in his footsteps and played competitive basketball, but at the end of the day, he just wants Mason to find activities he enjoys <3
