1966. Jyväskylä.

Today is a warm day. Exceptionally warm for this part of Finland. A perfect day for swimming. Berwald’s been doing okay these days, except for a few nights when the breathing got shallow and the apnea hit especially hard. Maybe he’ll feel well enough to soak a little in the lake. I would hate to strain him.

His chest started looking better. He’s healing. Slowly. He’s taking his time. I hope I could help him somehow, I owe him this much. I’m glad he’s enjoying the books I showed him. The stories are nice, and the characters are sweet. One day, he’s been reading all day. I couldn’t get his attention anyhow. But this is okay. He’s resting.

We’ve been going to sauna every now and then. I think it’s doing wonders, sauna is good for a lot of things. Maybe we could go today too. Chopping wood is difficult for me, but it’s fine. I can, and I have to, handle it. I promised I’ll take care of him, and I will.

Oh, and we’re running out of coffee. This is a note to myself. Get more coffee.

watermelon: do you have a job? if so, what is your job title?

I do. I work for a mining consulting company where my job title is Document Management / Document Controls. I basically handle issuing documents to the client and editing any reports that are written. I am currently not working there right now due to illness, but I hope to be back by November this year.

plum: favorite clothing brands?

Torrid’s brand is what I usually buy because the clothes fit and they last awhile. I don’t usually look at brands when I am buying tbh.

apricot: what do you do when you’re sad?

If I am able to, I go and take a nap. If I am not able to, I usually retreat into myself and use my phone as a crutch in social situations.

      Two quick kisses to her cheeks, and Carina collapsed onto her sisters couch. On the counter was a bottle of wine and some food she’d brought over but that wasn’t the real reason for her visit. No, she was a little lonely and this was the only way she knew to force her way into anothers’ home. You wouldn’t guess she felt any guilt for it though as she sighed, hand over her forehead.  “Drunk sex on a hardwood floor is never ever a good idea. Lesson learned.”
