Mugshot Monday - “1982 Westie Diner Mug” by North 61 with Snowshoe Seasonal Blend by Peace Coffee
Love my new North 61 diner mug! It kinda matches my North 61 Morning Frost knit hat. Not really, but it reminds me of when I bought my hat.
Patrick Burns and his family have been running North 61 since April 2017 selling original and upcycled products.
They sell clothing, bison leather bags, and other adventure goods at their shop off of Highway 61 along the North Shore near Schroeder, MN.
You can also find them at a literal “pop-up” shop selling items out of their vintage 1982 Volkswagen Westfalia.
That’s how I found my hat! Patrick and his wife -- and North 61 cofounder -- Paula were selling North 61 gear during a Trampled By Turtles show at Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth, MN.
I remember asking Patrick if they would ever make North 61 coffee mugs and now I’m holding one!
It’s tough to see in the photo, but the glaze has a really cool matte finish that I love. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a matte finish diner mug before. Super cool. You can buy one from the comfort of your home on north61.com.
Thanks for making this mug, Patrick! Cheers!
BTW: If you haven’t tried Snowshoe Seasonal Blend by Peace Coffee, I highly recommend you do! It’s my favorite.
Here’s a photo I took of Patrick and Paula at that TBT show -- love that ‘82 Westie! 😀
