"Modern" Dinette Set, 1949
“But wait!” (you might say) “Those are hamsters ON cups, not hamsters IN cups!” But look closer my friend, for ON the pitcher that comes with these cups there is an image of at least 1 hamster (plus what might be a tiny bear and an even tinier dog??) IN a cup!! ALSO, if you zoom in on the stack of 2 small plates you will see that they bear an image of a hamster taking a bath IN a teacup, complete with rubber ducky.
This “Happy Hamster Dinette Set” is being offered for 6 Euros from https://mesanneesvintage.fr/produit/dinette-happy-hamster/

We had a similar, but bigger dining room set like these in our family as long as I can remember. We sold to a vintage furniture store when my mother passed a few years ago.

What's your Bid? Can you guess the original price of this 1950s Arvin Chrome-plated Dinette set? Originally they cost about $60, but keep in mind that minimum wage was about $2 per hour back then.
Arvin dinette sets were a line of metal dining sets, typically consisting of a table and chairs, produced by Arvin Industries. Arvin Industries, initially known for automotive products and radios, began manufacturing metal dinette sets in 1940. The dinette sets became a popular kitchen item in mid-cnetury homes, becoming a design icon of the times.
