I’m sad to report that this colt has died. 

We found his body on 12/3/16. The entire year he has been... off. He would never come down to eat with the rest of his herd or play with the other foals. I don’t believe it was starvation as much as something internally wrong with him. 

I did not take a photo of his body as predators had been hard at work on it.

This beauty is Sakari. She is Dom’s daughter. She is so curious and full of life.

Here’s a long overdue update on the foals at Dingo.

Bagheera has three foals now, pictured here. Two chestnuts and a black, two fillies and a colt. Thy are all fat and healthy.

The filly is doing very well. She also has a very protective mother who put my privilege of photography into perspective while trying to get two of these shots.

The big mare is pregnant as well so this baby won’t have to grow up alone.

This weekend I realized I could no longer feel Catelyn’s ribs.

Challenger’s reign is in full force! A couple weeks ago he started off alone, then with two colts. Today he has a full bachelor herd of five bachelor colts besides himself.

At the bottom are Romeo and an unnamed colt from his band.

We found the Big mare’s herd today. The filly is doing really well!

We’re trying to make sure her mother is getting enough so that he filly doesn’t drain her.
