Delightful Treats with Ocean Views

At SAii Phi Phi Island Village your dining experience is elevated with delightful treats, served to you in a backdrop of the ocean singing to the tunes of the wind.

Day 48: at Sea, en route to New Zealand having dinner at the Verandah restaurant, trying the smoked venison tartar and the lobster. The next day we would be sailing in the coastal waters of New Zealand’s Southern Island. Firstly sailing through Milford Sound then Doubtful Sound and finally Dusky Sound in what is known as New Zealand Fjords. We would then arrive into the South Pacific Ocean.

Day 31: Continuing on her South Easterly track across the Indian Ocean , Queen Mary 2 is now well South of the Tropic of Capricorn, which is the southern most point on the Earth’s surface that the sun can be directly overhead. We also find ourselves more than halfway round the eastern hemisphere, on aproxímate longitude with Indonesia and Malaysia. The picture of the day shows some of the amazing carving skills that we have on board. You can even learn how to do it and do your own carving.
