Dino Date
So I went to Jurassic World live tour today because I am a dino gay. My friend and I were the only people there without kids. It was cheesy and watered down for families obviously and I LOVED IT. The dinos were soooo cool. And its events ran parallel to the movies so the continuity for those in love with the films wasn't ruined. 10/10 (Only downside was some unneeded straight propaganda so maybe 9/10)
Anyhow obviously I have to write a Tyrus date headcannon.
TJ gets tickets as a surprise for Cyrus as a surprise for his 16th birthday.
Cyrus pretend whines about "Like isn't this for kids?" It is of course.
TJ, feigning hurt: Well if you don't want to go, I can always return them.
Cyrus, trying not to smile: well...we should go, since you already bought them.
TJ: Thought it was for kids?
Cyrus: Yea... but we're 16 so technically we're kids.
More bantering. Obviously they go.
When they walk into the convention center, Cyrus looks around like a kid in a candy store. Dinosaur cut outs and merchandise everywhere.
TJ goes all out and gets them matching dinosaur head hats. He gets Cyrus a dinosaur flag, T-shirt, bag, and a dino-decoder device. He even pays for them to get a picture with Blue(the velociraptor). Cyrus kept trying to pay and TJ would not let him.
TJ worked a lot of extra shifts at the gym to save up for this date.
As they walk around they see everyone else is their with their kids. But they don't care <3
Cyrus' face lights up even more as they enter the arena area. The arena is set up like Jurassic World. Their seats are also a really great place to sit to see everything going on.
Cyrus loves the show. He doesn't really care about the plot bc it is a cheesy watered down story for little kids. But he loves all the dinosaurs.
Every time one comes up, he turns to whisper to TJ about that dinosaur. He loves talking about them.
He would point out everytime they slipped in a reference to the movies.
List his shit when Blue came out on the stage.
TJ doesn't really care for the show BUT he loves watching Cyrus watch the show. It makes him love his boyfriend even more.
At the end Cyrus is a little sad. When TJ asked why, he explains that since this takes place in the continuity of the movie, the dinosaurs she just saved and left on the island to live a better life, were going to die soon when the island goes up in flames.
He tears up a little, so TJ takes him to the Spoon to "cheer him up"
Cyrus' baby tater theater is a reenactment of all 5 Jurassic World/Park movie.
TJ is smitten and loves every moment of it .
Bonus
Cyrus convinces TJ to let him post the picture of them in the matching dino hats.
Everyone thinks its cute but Buffy still rips on TJ.
