Dino-Sour and Lemon

Dino-sour walked through town, people avoided him because of Chompy. That’s fine by him. He was here to get food and run some errands for the guild, nothing really more. Had to keep an eye on his little friend though. The last time him lost track of him Milk made him help clean the shop.

At least I remembered to say sorry that time! He was proud of me for that. He stood a bit straighter, remembering Milk's praise. He puffed his chest and straightened his shoulders! He did good! He was getting a hang on living in this ‘civiliza-’

“Hey!”

He stopped and looked beside him. Chompy was gone. Okay maybe he wasn’t. Still too easily distracted. He looked around for whoever shouted and fount his little Jelly-Rex latched onto a young man’s jacket. At least he’s not destroying things...much.

Dino ran over and gently pried Chompy off. “Heh, sorry man!” he said with a nervous laugh. He straightened up and got a good look at the young man...and he had to stop. A leather jacket, now slightly torn by Chompy’s sharp teeth, with a dark shirt and black jeane. His bright yellow hair was pulled back by his headphones.

He was so cool looking! The cool guy pulled off his headphones and pointed at the Jelly-Rex. “...that’s a jellysaur…”

Dino’s eyes lit up and nodded. “Yeah! She’s a Jelly-Rex! Her name is Chompy! And I’m Dino-sour!” He held out his hand for the cool guy.

There was a pause, and Dino was about to pull away, when his handshake was accepted. “Lemon...don’t usually see someone keeping a jellysaur as a pet…”

Dino smiled and puffed out his chest. “Well I’m not usual!”

Lemon huffed in amusement as he pulled away. He fiddled with one of his headphones. “That’s kinda cool...are you staying in town?”

Dino nodded. “Yep! Well, kinda...I’m in the guildhouse at the edge of town, I’m a new member there and...yeah……” He trailed off and chuckled nervously...he shouldn’t ramble.

“Oh.” Lemon nodded for a moment, tapping a finger against his headphones before humming. “Maybe I’ll see you around more then. You’re pretty cool, but I can’t stick around.”

He waved at Dino before walking away, pulling his headphones on in a fluid motion. Dino waited until he turned into a shop...then started giggling to himself.

“...I’m cool…” He hopped a bit before Chompy bumped him. Right right! He had a job to do! He scurried off towards the grocery store, keeping Chompy on his shoulder.

But he couldn’t get it out of his head….he was cool!
