I already insinuated dinomegs in my SG BW fic..what if I followed that up with taramegs?

Then he would get betrayed by a lover twice. Though in my current idea Tarantulas turned against the government before the heist even happened and wants the mission to succeed, but it's a different matter whether Megatron is going to believe that since Tarantulas clearly was never going to tell him about the spy thing until it was revealed by other parties.

Megatron II really goes through it in my SG BW idea.

His father is murdered, their mission seemingly fails, his lover sells him out to save his own skin, another crewmember hates him and blames him for everything, and that's just the opening two-parter!
