i got to spend the entire first day of 2013 with the people i love.

it was a tremendous blessing to get to kick off this year with more than 24 straight hours of hanging with some of my closest friend. thanks guys.

d20 last night was a smashing success.

not only did none of the players die in the encounter i wrote in 45 minutes prior to the session/pulled from my nethers but they managed to remove ALL MY NPCS from combat in one way or another (which is amazing considering there were only two of them and no medic), ensuring that i can justify not deducting their exp.

it helps when matthew decides it's a good idea to try to shoot an enemy through the ceiling of a building about to collapse with two NPCs are on the second floor. so glad i decided to go through with wisdom-based common sense checks. they just make the game so much more interesting.
