i know this is probably about bird flu prevention or something similar but part of me is hoping that's not it and instead these ostriches were involved in some kind of treasonous activity
View of two ostriches inside fenced enclosure at Belle Isle Zoo; trees in background. Printed on front: "Ostriches on Belle Isle, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "The ostriches on Belle Isle are always a center of attraction to the thousands who visit this popular resort daily. These birds thrive well in this climate and are housed in such a manner that they are capable of caring for their young." Handwritten on back: "4/30/10. Well we lost this p.m. 5-2. We did not play together very well. I was in center field and did not get a chance. Tully was in the box and did good work. Will send you an account of the game tomorrow. Everything O.K. Eve." Card is postmarked April 30, 1910.
