Have you ever considered drawing an alligator? If so, think twice because they have the most specific scale pattern but also, don’t forget to add these little dots! These little dots are called integumentary sensory organs (ISOs) & are 10x more sensitive than our fingertips. This helps an alligator navigate waters & find dinner. Pretty cool, huh?!

Dedicated to my grandparents ❤️

This piece was a ton of fun because it allowed me to pay homage to two of my favorite Tyrannosaurus renditions. The vintage style T-Rex on the grandpa was based on the “Age of Reptiles” mural by Rudolph F. Zallinger which was completed in 1947 at the Yale Peabody Museum & the more modern 90s style T-Rex on the boy was based on the “Jurassic Park” design by Mark “Crash” McCreery & the team at Stan Winston Studios.
