Dinovember sketch dump! I’ve been working through @a-dinosaur-a-day ‘s Dinovember prompt list, and I’ll hopefully be able to catch up to the actual days things are supposed to be on at some point. For now, here’s days 1-3, with a Nigersaurus messing around in the mud and scooping out some lovely muddy weeds with his freakish rake of a mouth, a Charonosaurus waking up from his nap to check for danger, and an Ornimegalynyx pouncing on an unfortunate nondescript mousy-thing.
I drew these ones with a new mechanical pencil. I actually haven’t used one of these in years and I’m pretty happy with the results so far.

9. Draw a modern dinosaur
Cyanistes caeruleus - eurasian blue tit
A very quick initial sketch for @a-dinosaur-a-day ‘s dinovember first prompt: Nigersaurus.
Sketching it, I discovered I don’t know how to draw sauropods. Probably comes from being in AB; we got very many very good dinos, but a distinct lack of long necks.
Rajasaurus looking down at something—maybe a dead titanosaur, I dunno—for @a-dinosaur-a-day ‘s Dinovember prompt list.
Dinovember Day 3: Snooze Cruisin’
Uteodon sleeping on the skull of some past potential predator. All is well in the Jurassic today.
The colors are super vaguely based on masks and horses painted for Día de los Muertos. I know I’m a little late, but a neighborhood near me just had their parade today.
Dinovember days 1 and 2! I only saw the prompt list late last night so I decided to combine days 1 and 2 together since I missed the first one. A Nigersaurus and a young Charonosaurus wrapped up in scarves to beat the November cold, brrr!
A cheeky little dinosaur who is more fantasy than historically accurate, pose inspired by @himmapaan who does a much better job at drawing both beautiful and historically accurate prehistoric creatures. This little art card is to be given as a secret Santa gift to another fellow artist who I know is fond of dinosaurs hopefully she will like it 😁🤞 #dinosaur #dinovember2018 #violetflowers #secretsanta #artcard #November2018 #belindaillustrates #australianartist #melbourneillustrator #watercolour #watercolor (at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/BqfEssWhPgM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=12q1z7q1ej6s1
