Two blocks of marble. A bolt of lightning between them. The moment of impact, frozen.
"Electric Rocks"
Designed by Mark Mitchell Design for Italian marble company Serafini ,
Built around a single idea: capturing lightning at the exact point of strike. The marble blocks are split apart, their surfaces polished and coated in gold leaf to accentuate the bolt.
The lightning element itself is entirely handcrafted from 2200K diodes and stainless steel, engineered to mimic the intensity and irregularity of a real arc of electricity.
Throughout history, stones struck by lightning were considered permanently altered by celestial force.
