i went back and took a screenshot of dipk from the very final scene they were in for posterity :3
i think it'd be neat if dipk, as a tiefling druid, could turn into the same kind of dark-furred beast that the black shuck was, albeit with ram horns rather than the original's more antelope-like horns.
it'd definitely be a case of them going "i'm tired of being nice, i want to go apeshit"
if this were in the game i think the abilities would be fire immunity, rage that upon activation causes a fire explosion, basic attack is with claws that cause mauling, and something like if the enemy has 30HP or less you can use some sort of a bite/shaking apart that finishes them off
the original black shuck likely has some sort of smoke camouflage ability as well
dipk's reactions to the cults of the chosen three are each a bit different i think
death? eh it's whatever. death's a part of nature and as a druid they don't really care
tyranny? they spent the majority of their life living in the woods and are way too uneducated on the political side of things to really get why gortash is so dangerous. they just know he double crosses those who care about him or rely on him and won't stand for that
but murder? the bhaal cult? that shit disturbs them. they're no stranger to hunting, but senseless killing unsettles them severely. it's mostly because they learned about the black shuck's horrific killings. when they were with him, dipk had no idea about the devil's murderous desires. they could smell the blood around his mouth, but they just assumed he was either protecting the forest or hunting for food. the reality was more that the black shuck, having fled civilization in the hells in favor of pursuing a more wild existence, was so against returning that he turned his malevolence towards any semblance of civilization he could find. any house or cottage or little village near his forest was ravaged by him. dipk only found out about this after he had perished, after they had started living in baldur's gate.
and so, when they first arrive in the lair of bhaal's cult, all they can see when talking to the cultists is a pair of horns that would've fit right in.
dipk does NOT know how to cook. they lived for 20 some odd years out in the wilderness as a wild animal. they're used to eating grass and raw meat and other scavenged foods.
they did get a few years' exposure to prepared food once they started going to baldur's gate, but all of that was prepared by other people and they never learned how to make anything themself. so they're constantly enchanted by people's cooking and processed foods like cheese and liquor.
gale makes a soup one of the first nights they're together and dipk loses their absolute shit over it
one day dipk gets the urge to gnaw on someone, so they turn into a wolf and go and try to chew on wyll's arm. he's of course like wtf are you doing and tries to pull away at first but dipk goes into doggy mode and takes that as a play-challenge. so they start playing and dipk gets the zoomies in the camp. shadowheart nearly shits herself
dipk used to mostly exist as a ram, so i imagine there's some muscle memory there
i'm just imagining that one day on their adventure, dipk decides they need a fucking break. cue everyone waking up in the morning to there being a sheep just hanging out in the camp
