Diplodocids
Diplodocids are just as recognizable as sauropods, however instead of incredibly long necks, they had incredibly long bodies. Some reached lengths of 42 meters.

Could large Sauropods like Brontosaurus, Brachiosaurus or Argentinosaurus really use their tails as defensive weapons?
Yes and no: Some very likely did use their tails as weapons, Brontosaurus is one of the more likely ones from the examples you listes. (Diplodocids usually have long powerful tails for this). However Brachiosaurus definitely did not, and many other Titanosaurs also likely didn’t either. To better illustrate the difference between the two, have a couple skeletals:
(Brontosaurus excelsus, source)
(Brachiosaurus altithorax, source)
All in all, it depends on the actual group of large Sauropods, and even then there’s exceptions and oddities here and there.
