What is endometriosis? It is where tissue grows outside of the uterus. When a person gets their period, the tissue reacts, causing inflammation. Not to mention the tissues can attach themselves to other organs.
Some of the symptoms are, heavy bleeding during periods and chronic pelvic pain. The scars on Dipper are from surgeries to have the tissue removed, but as you can see, she had to get more surgeries.
I hc when she has a really bad flare up, she can't fire fight. Often confined to her bed due to how much pain she's in. But luckily Windlifter is there to help, getting her heating pads and medicine from Maru. He stays with her for support. Knowing how female anatomy can be a bitch. (same au as Trans Windlifter)
Does this mess with her work? Sometimes, not a whole lot. Her main flare up triggers are stress. Not to mention the shit ton of pain meds Maru has.
