Apr 26, 2012: Character of the Day - Armando Dippet
Armando Dippet was the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry before Albus Dumbledore. He is featured on a Chocolate Frog Card and his portrait hangs in the headmaster's office at Hogwarts. He was approached by Tom Riddle who asked for the post of Defence Against the Dark Arts shortly after his graduation, but Dippet turned him down, saying that he was too young and not yet had enough experience. He is described in the books as being frail looking and bald except for a few stray wisps of white hair.
