Transformers: War For Cybertron: Siege
Micromaster Combiner class
Direct-Hit & PowerPunch
This post is going to be a be more picture heavy than what I actually have to say.
Direct-Hit and PowerPunch are a Micromaster team, and they’re a call back to a specific type, the Micormaster Combiner
The missile trick does looks really cool, and he colors imply unified team, and of course it’s sculpted really well.
Of course the Siege blast effects can be attached to the primary gun.
Blast effects can even be attached to the separated vehicle components docking pegs. That’s clever and provides added firepower to your Decepticons.
Robot Modes:
I’m not gonna lie, I don’t know which one is which, but I don’t care because these figures are pretty cool regardless.
The cab (I’m gonna guess is Direct-Hit) looks better in my opinion.
I like the chest vents, and the stompy feet, and he’s got the body proportions of a hulking voyager class figure...but he’s a Micromaster.
Whom I assume to be Powerpunch, has the weaker design. The front of the robot mode looks okay, but he’s burdened by that backpack, and the pink gun can’t be removed, so it’s just there...
Weapon Mode:
For the Siege Micromasters it’s customary now to have a gun mode, however for this team all the larger Decepticon has to do is hold the vehicle upside down.
At beast it’s a lazy attempt, but i have to say I’m digging the facts this ‘gun’ mode can hold up to FIVE blast effects. That’s cool.
Final Thoughts:
Direct-Hit and PowerPunch are fun toys for Micromasters, however this also kind of fails too.
Part of the gimmick of these two (aside from the transformation, and micro gimmicks) was that the combined vehicle feature (back in 1990) was meant to swap out components with other Transformers, and mix and match.
There’s going to be an Autobot team for Earthrise, but as far as I’m aware no other Decepticons to swap with.
TakaraTomyMall has updated with new official photos of upcoming War for Cybertron: Siege releases.

We also get a better look at returning Targetmaster (as yet with no Pinpointer on the horizon), Crosshairs.
#gallery-0-18 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-18 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-18 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-18 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
More Micromasters are en route as well, with Siege‘s first Micromaster Combiner pairing in the Battle Squad’s Power Punch and Direct-Hit.
#gallery-0-19 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-19 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Finally, Battle Master Singe is on the way to team up with the Phantomstrike Squadron’s Shrute to arm the also-upcoming Spinister (or any other ‘cons who need some fireblastpower).
