I don't know you so like forgive me, but regarding the YA lit post, I would argue that despite being titled "Young Adult," it's overwhelmingly marketed towards and stars characters who are teenagers, not adults. That's not to say adults can't read or enjoy YA, but I wouldn't really consider it in and of itself adult.

oh, yep I do agree with you! I’ve noticed that the label confuses a bunch of people, but the important thing to note is that it was created with the intent to market books meant for teen audiences, and not adults. I also agree that adults are completely welcome to read YA, but I draw the line at adults choosing and influencing the kind of content that goes into YA books.

What's the anti style meme?

it’s an art meme where you take aspects of your normal art style and then do the opposite!  for example with mine my usual art style is sharp, cartoony, bright, and bouncy, so my anti style would be softer, more realistic, less saturated, and more..stiff i guess?? for lack of a better word

Also bc I'm also learning Japanese, here are some more resources I really like: LingoDeer (similar to DuoLingo, but far better at teaching grammar imo), Bunpro (grammar SRS site. the srs feature is paid, but you can reference the grammar for free, which links to a lot of really great free resources like Tae Kim's Guide & PuniPuniJapan), Mango Languages (may be free with your library card, check through your library website! One of my favorites for practicing speaking and listening).

You have a Following so you've gotta be conscious of this stuff I guess but idk you should be able to draw characters from problematic media if you want. Sometimes aspects of a character just slap regardless of their origin & as long as your not drawing them doing smth questionable why is it such a big Deal. Either way gl making the best choice for you
