Meet Teharu, resident tank of a small warrior band within the Frigid Gales kingdom. She is like a hurricane - powerful and unpredictable. The shadow she casts upon her foes is a long one and often the last one they ever see. Taking more after her father, Atuan, she is slow to trust others but has no qualms about passing quick and often harsh judgement on others who don’t meet her standards. This stems from a rather unfortunate event she and her brother both suffered shortly after arriving at the kingdom.
While spending the remainder of their childhoods in the loving care of the resident nesting groundskeeper, Naalas, she and her less than outgoing brother strayed from the protection of the nursery and ventured off into the forest just beyond. There, they encountered a wounded warcat. First thought to be dead until it stirred, it brutally attacked them - mauling Teharu’s brother and leaving her with a few reminders as well.
They were rescued by a member of the Hoarfrost Vanguard, a frightening young drake named Warsong, who was quick to chastise them once they were out of harm’s way. With the aid of a healer the two young ones recovered from their physical injuries but the mental scars remained.
Since then Teharu’s pushed herself to become quite the formidable warrior and holds herself to high standards. As such she holds those around her to equally high standards, and makes it hard for her to retain friendships. It is with her brother’s help that she is slowly learning to soften up around those she has devoted herself to protect.
Roshan is Teharu’s younger brother and the band’s resident healer. He is wise in the way of medicines and prefers the healing arts: of which he studied under the gentle guidance of the kingdom’s resident mender, Eidolon. With these skills he keeps the team from falling apart on the field. Just as well he extends the courtesy to any foes bested in battle who wish to retreat or surrender. This is how he met and subsequently befriended a painted centaur warrior named Firefoot.
His relationship with his sister is strained due to the traumatic event in childhood, but it is not entirely negative. He loves and cares for her as any sibling would but shies away from her should her temper flare-up. Often leaving it up to their leader to deal with her when her mood swings get out of hand.
This leaves Dallas, the Windfall band’s leader, rather disgruntled and generally tired. Tired of having to babysit his fellow fighters and deal with residual familial drama. Still, he -like those that came before him- takes his duties as a warrior seriously. Even with the hiccups his band has he is willing to see things through to the end. Which is the reason he is looked to as the leader in the first place.
He is a surprisingly patient drake, despite the constant stern expression on his face. Serious by nature but gentled by time he looks after his men much like a father does his brood. Oddly enough he is the youngest member of the group - An ‘old soul’ in a young body.
He wields both spear and shield in battle. This bolsters his roll in combat to strike from distance as well as defend from close range. When not shattering bones with a bash of his shield, he can be seen skewering enemies with a spear. All while going into battle with skeletal warpaint to strike fear into the hearts of his foes.
Together these three form the base of the Windfall War Band and work hard to keep the kingdom’s borders safe and sound. At current they, like most full-time warriors and fighters, reside in the barracks. Training hard to hone their skills with some of the more seasoned fighters and elder veterans.
In their down-time Dallas can be found speaking with his older brother Adelaide or tending to his armor. Roshan is either with his dear sister or off in the gardens for some peace and quiet. Likewise, Teharu is either with her brother or keeping company with Zarah and Shula.
