Spending The Day With Carlos

I just had just woke up next to the cutest face in the world. He was perfect in every way. He would move a little now and then but hardly made any noise. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer; I quietly giggled trying not to wake him up from his peaceful sleep. I grabbed my phone from under my pillow and read some messages. I suddenly felt Carlos' fingers rest on my stomach and make small circular motions "Hey Tiff, baby..." he whispered into my ear and I looked over to see his brown eyes with a slight smile on his face.”Hey Carlos" I smiled and put my phone back under the pillow. He rolled over and hovered above me "Well don't you look beautiful today" he kissed my face and I giggled "Carlos, stop" Carlos brushed some strands of my hair out of my face "What? I can't tell my amazing girlfriend she is beautiful?" I giggled and blushed “You can but you know I’m not…” Carlos kissed my lips softly to shut up.

He pulled away and looked into my eyes lovingly “So what shall we do today?” he asked. I shrugged and Carlos stood up taking my hands pulling me up and out of bed. “We should….go to the park! With Sydney?” I nodded my head.”Sounds like fun” I said with a smile. After getting ready for the park Carlos was running around the house looking for the red ball Sydney loved to play with. “What are you doing?” I asked leaning against the wall holding the leash “I’m looking for that ball that Sydney loves, and I can’t find it” I giggled because Sydney had it at her feet playing with it. Carlos sighed and gave up “Where is it?” I looked down at the floor and pointed to it “Sydney has it” Carlos shook his head and laughed “Oh right, we’ll let’s go then!” I put the leash on Sydney’s collar and headed out with her and Carlos to the park. After we played fetch with Sydney we walked around for a bit while Sydney would bark at other dogs and try to run around pulling Carlos along.

“So…nice day isn’t it?” Carlos asked taking my hand when Sydney finally calmed down. I nodded and smiled at him. “What’s wrong baby, you’re really quiet suddenly” I looked up and him and shook my head “Oh nothing, just thinking” Carlos entwined his fingers with mine “About what…?” he asked. I giggled and kissed Carlos lightly “About the future…I don’t know, silly stuff” Carlos laughed and wrapped his arm around my waist “Everything you think about is silly darling” I looked at Carlos shocked and then smiled “Hey, I wanted to ask you something…” Carlos said and took a seat on the bench and then patted a spot next to him for you, you sat down and he took your hand and gently kissed it. “What is it?” I asked nervously. Carlos then pulled a small box out of his pocket and got down on one knee. “I know this may not be the best place to propose…but it’s spontaneous, so here goes…Tiffany, I love you and you’re the best thing that has happened to me in my life. I want to be with you forever, so will you marry me?” he smiled holding the small box up with a diamond ring shining. I started tearing up and smiling big “Yes, oh my gosh….Carlos” Carlos then smiled taking the ring out of the box and slid it onto my finger. “Perfect he said as he kissed my happy tears away. Just before we kissed we heard Sydney bark and we both looked at her playing with the red ball she loved. “Come on future Mrs. Pena, let’s go play more fetch” Carlos smiled and took my hand.
