(( Today in D&D @professor-of-predators​ and I proved that the Beckamsteins really are the Best Power Couple. They took turns grappling a hag and shooting at it, not once, but twice today. @tinfoiltemplar​ may have landed the killing blows - which HAD to be cathartic for everybody’s favorite hexblood - but the Beckamsteins and their problem-solving is just.... 😍😍😍

Thank you @dirusso​ for running the session and also for letting Victor break locks so they got Stuck. It was a DELIGHT to see Dorrinn and Scout again as NPCs. I’ll probably message you a Thought or Three because I love your babies and it was good to see them. I still don’t trust that fucking cambion at the front desk. (Neither does Victor “Infernal Was My Emo Phase” Frankenstein). I’m excited that next session will be just one more BBEG and then search and rescue!))

I think there is good and bad in the updating of the music list. Some could have been done without - some feels really contextual with the staging? I have opinions.

i think for me the one song i enjoyed the inclusion of was bad romance but everything else ranged from inoffensive and neutral to actively worse and i ?? don’t understand... like you’re saying it might be contextual and i feel that i know shows are like that sometimes but what contextually makes them work? do you just mean the spectacle feels earned when you watch it?

Secret Symbol, Show Me The Forbidden Headcanons | Selectively Accepting!

Madeleine has a LOT of discarded headcanons. Prior to this incarnation, she was a ballet choreographer and instructor in Paris. There’s a lot of baggage to unpack with all that, so I won’t go into it.

But what I will go into is that despite beginning as my first bisexual muse when I was young and closeted and expressing myself through fiction, I’ve toyed with the idea lately (and I blame Lotta for this, Madi, because shipping with her is the first time I’ve felt alive in shipping Madeleine with anyone in a number of years) that Madeleine is a lesbian. I haven’t had a strictly homosexual or a strictly heterosexual muse in a very long time, so this revelation intrigues me because of things I’ve written with her in the past (one of my longest threads was her on-and-off engagement to a man and I feel like the mun would take Madeleine’s lesbianism as “proof” that her male muse was still redeemable and/or desirable when he was really an abusive piece of shit and even though said mun and I have fallen out of touch for a looooong time, I worry about tempting fate). I haven’t scrapped this HC - it may very well become canon for her - but I have to ruminate on it some more.

EDIT: And before anyone says it, I’ve shipped Madeleine with female muses besides Lotta in the past. I’ve shipped her with male and female characters and when I was in high school, felt that this meant Madeleine was bi. I’m an adult now and my muse has quietly told me a few times since getting a second chance at life that she might be a lesbian. Just plain and simple. And I kinda love that route for her because she’s a character over 30, who is just now coming to terms with her sexuality, but without angst or drama. Just “This is who I am. Love me or leave me.” I love her.
