This is unfortunetly very true. This makes me so mad (let alone symptomatic). Lucly for me, I'm too sick to go out anywhere now, anyway. #repost from @fighting.ableism #ableism #fightingableism #sotrue #disableddiscrimination #disability
Start Another Story. Destination: doctor appointment. The sun was out and baking my chest, the roads were pretty clear and I hit only two red lights. I was listening to MCR: The Black Parade, which I can't listen to loudly because it makes me speed if I'm not paying close attention. There was a disabled space open at the clinic. After the appointment I drove to the mall, which was not the best idea. The parking garage had ONE disabled space. ONE. Of course it was taken. And here's where I veer off to tell you about being in the mall. HOLY CRAP DON'T LET ME DO THAT AGAIN IT'S AN AGORAPHOBIC HELL. I was in front of two people and the woman was screeching "HIGH HEELS AND A WALKER, HAHAHAHA! HIGH HEELS AND A WALKER, HAHAHAHA!" At the top of her voice over and over again. I wish I didn't have this stupid nervous system disorder or I would have yelled, "METH IS BAD FOR YOU, HAHAHAHA!" As a retort. (FTR: my boots have 2-inch very thick heels, this woman doesn't even know what high heels are). Why did I go into the mall in the first place? Free foundation samples from Sephora. I've never been in a Sephora before, and they were nice. They got me the palest foundations to try out at home (I really snagged them for my Halloween costume). Then I was taken against my will (ha) into a tea shop by the most adorable young critter named Oliver (do you have to be super cute to be named Oliver? I think that should be a rule). He just really wanted to give me tea samples and talk about how great the kettles will serve as weapons if The Purge happens. Try to be cuter, Oliver, just TRY. The drive home was fine. Surprisingly, no one cut me off. There were only a few stops that took too long. I did fine.
