Quick Question for the Harry Potter Fandom:

If you apparate and if you do it wrong, like how Ron ended up with the splicing incident, what happens to the part that is 'spliced'?  If you ended up at your destination without your pinkie what happens to your pinkie?  Is it lost in transport? Does it fall to the ground at your previous location? And if it does then that brings up the question of what happens to it then.

Does it still move as I move?  So if my brain says move left pinkie it would start writhing on the floor?  I realized if you loose a limb in the muggle world then the brain connection is severed, but this is a magical disconnection.
