if seth had taken anything away from being in prison, it was an appreciation for food. he had a plate piled high with fall-off-the-bone lamb, baked potatoes and roasted vegetables with a side of pastry puff garlic bread and had seated himself outside of the restaurant which offered him a clear line of sight to the building across the street and his current mark.

     it was between bites and while casing the building’s surveillance camera’s that seth noticed the young man on the other side of the restaurant’s barrier which separated it from the sidewalk. seth wouldn’t be conceited enough to assume that the guy was homeless —though judging from the looks of him seth wouldn’t be surprised if he was, but given the way he was digging through his pockets after looking at the restaurant menu, seth figured he had either lost or misplaced his wallet.

What is the stupidest thing you've done to protect your brothers?

cosmo exhaled a long breath, both brows raised as he leaned back in his chair. an easier question might have been what hadn't he done. of course, at the time, nothing he had ever done to protect his brothers had ever felt stupid to him — it was only with time and the ability to reflect that he realized the truth. the invincibility of youth or just cosmo's own almost total lack of self-preservation or just the paranoia and the distrust he felt towards almost everyone at any given time which made him believe whole heartedly that he was the only one that could ever protect them properly.
