I have to rush to work, but I just needed to type my surface thoughts on Life, Itself:
- They did the best they could with the sudden cancellation. I am glad they could have that crew hug but I wish there was more time.
- I love the epilogue for Discovery and a glimpse at older Burnham.
- Even more I am glad Burnham yeeted the tech. No one should have that power. In that regard she is perfect.
- So there are more Eldritch beings than the progenitors. The Q, maybe?
- Genuinely amused L’ak was the cause of his own death. First by stabbing himself when he tried a cool somersault and then a second time when he OD’d after he stabbed himself with the bio bed thing. And then he stayed dead.
Truly, Moll loved a fail boy. (affectionate).
(Surely, someone else other than me found this hilarious!)
- So wait Now the Spore drive room IS Engineering!? Stamets IS the chief engineer and Not Reno? So why is Stamets wearing Science Blue?
- Gorgeous visuals as always!
- Saucer separating on TNG and here I am not a fan but it led to the cool spore drive moment.
- Saru and T’Rina wedding!
- Daniels, okay
I am sad that Zora has to be alone to close the loop with Calypso on the other hand she gets to meet Hardison.
— I love that it ended with just Burnham, saying, “Let’s Fly.” with her infections grin and nose scrunch.
I have more thoughts and reactions but that will have to wait when I have more free time.
