He’s an old country doctor from Georgia who thinks he knows his boyfriends, because after years of closeness and bonding, it’s completely normal to think you know the guys you work, eat, sleep, with pretty well.
So what do you think crossed his mind when he found out that:
Bf 1) is the survivor of a massacre and didn’t bother to tell them he went through severe trauma and starvation until the brutal dictator that caused it BOARDED THE ENTERPRISE, AND NOT EVEN THEN.
Bf 2) is someone who didn’t even hint at the fact that he had a half-brother for DECADES after they met each other, and only mentioned it because he was out of control. Canonically he’s never mentioned his sister, I think. His parents were already literally aboard the ship and didn’t think to mention it until he was explicitly asked.
Honestly I would be wondering why tf I still bother to ask questions, it’s not like they’re going to give a meaningful answer. He’s dating the two most nonchalant secretive assholes EVER. (Dammit, Jim, I’m a doctor, not a mind-reader)
I’d think about violence too often. (And ofc he wants to wrap them up in a blanket cause they deserve all the warmth and care and love in the world)—- But God, are they annoying.
