thinking about how the game tells us lungs r a symbol of lovr in disco elysium but so are cigarettes. Thinking about how almost everyone in the game smokes, how kim keeps himself at one cigarette a day so he can tell himself he doesnt need them really, how harry meanwhile throws himself into his addictions and lets them tear himself and his relationships with othrts apart and smokes like oxygen is just a suggestion. thinking very extremely hard about how kim smokes his second of the day if you don't ask him to come to the 41st with him -- how he lets some of that love slip through and hurt him. about how your encounter with the smoker on the balcony gets you a thought about the homosexual underground: a thought about a certain type of love, from a man who’s constantly smoking a cigarette. thibking so very hard about how cigarettes are just like love in that they ruin you but you keep going because of how they make you feel. thinking that's what it feels to love somebody.
