Hi! Hello! I love your fics so much. I think all of them are in my like all time favorite steddie fics. I have a question. I was reading your omega verse autopsy lab tech Eddie drabble (loved it can't wait to read more if you continue it) and it seemed really familiar. Wasn't Eddie writing a novel about a queer lab tech (detective? Someone?) who was predisposed for the supernatural and used it to solve murders in one of your fics a couple years ago? I think it might have been the one where Steve and Robin were horror podcast hosts. Dustin was a movie director maybe? Or maybe it was the fic where Eddie was an illustrator and Steve and Robin owned a book shop. I don't remember really well but if it you did I love that we are kinda coming full circle. Its such a fun concept and I'm excited to read what happens with everything

I literally had to do a lil deep dive about that insight, and yes you're so right. In the fic Time Gets to Me and I Wonder How to Simplify it's the trilogy he's working on under the guise of his pseudonym (guess i've been trying to make this happen for a bit then 😂). I'm already getting geared up for spooky season with a few darker themed fics floating around my noggin hoping they come to fruition within that October time frame. I'm excited to flesh out some of thesr ideas and maybe participate in a WIP wednesday/weekend to keep me accountable. 🥰

Hey! A no pressure just curious question- do you plan to put your tumblr stories on Ao3? I am thinking the wildlife Steve and the detective Steve/lawyer Eddie ones in particular.

thanks for asking. It's an idea that I've toyed with but also feels like I'd want to properly edit them before posting the fics to ao3.

so it's not currently something I plan on doing, but a possibility if I ever get that push of motivation. 🥰

Marketing failed Longlegs. Don't sell a movie as the scariest thing ever when it's more of a drama thriller. Don't compare your movie to one of the best (arguably the best) in the entire genre! It's basically begging people to be disappointed.

I think my least favorite thing about the movie was that Lee didn't seem to have any agency. Did she even solve anything or was everything she did because of what we learn?

I one hundred percent agree! If your marketing is giving some old school build up a la Cloverfield, Blairwitch, and The Fourth Kind do I think that's not only smart but taps into a certain 'real or not real' horror/thriller movie vibe that's a little nostalgic-- good on you! The phone number and websites they created for Longlegs totally drew me in.

Then the hype throwing around how scary and suspenseful and how it's reminiscent of Silence of the Lambs was such a disservice to this film.

I get so annoyed when they cop out by using a supernatural element in a film where I wish the bad guy was just literally the bad guy. If they wanted a whole 'the devil made me do it' angle I wish it had been because the killer(s) were religious zealots or something.

I feel like Lee had no autonomy whatsoever (maybe intended) and was basically still a 'doll' for longlegs her entire life making her really no better off than the girls he killed, or 'possessed' families to kill.

Ugh-

btw that looks great i love it, but omg you want her to die! in the arms of the only person that loved her thats so sad XD ugh so much sadness!

i dunno man, i figure everyone hates her enough now and that there’s no way out of what she did. going back to a normal life wouldn’t really be possible. i’m kind of betting she either sacrifices herself or gets killed by someone.
