made a post two years ago about TMA/TME language and after seeing that shit talking transmascs is still happening even on other platforms is just kinda reinforcing my disdain for those terms.

Its obvious to anyone with a brain that transmascs experience specific transphobia thats overshadowed when discussing trans issues in the community currently. Obviously its GOOD to talk about what transfems go through, but some of you people need to not put down transmascs in your efforts to bring to light what fuckass right-wingers and TERFs have to say.

There's a very loud minority in the trans community who hate transmascs/intersex/nonbinary/anyone who defends them, but as a reminder thats a small group of people. IRL i know some fucking awesome trans women. Between the LGBT club I ran for a year at college and my own close friend group, there's transfem people out there who will uplift other transgender people's voices just like we should uplift theirs.

TMA/TME (transmisogyny applicable/exempt) as terms in concept are kind of whatever, a little mid, but in function I continue to see it used to divide the trans community and put down valuable voices within it.

Anyways rant over back to reblogging. Im standing by what I said 2 years ago about the terms. Go give your trans friends hugs and care about them. Most importantly; uplift all struggles transgender people face forever.

Something I don't understand about the selfshipping/yumeshipping community here on Tumblr is the hate and vitriol towards (bodily) adults selfshipping with underage characters.

Now I know what you may think with me saying this, "thats called being a ped/lolic0n" etc. But just think about it this way okay? I grew up my whole life attached to Amu and Ikuto along with many other (fictional!) characters that were my age and you know what happened?

It felt like they grew with me up to the point I sort of stagnated into myself as a syskid, and having a confused sense of age. Why should I let go of a character(s) i have loved so dearly my whole life just because I age (bodily) quicker than them? Why can minors self-ship with adults as they dream of the time they time they grow to match their f/o's age and I cannot have my f/o's age up with me?

It's just a thing I think the selfshipping/yumeshipping community takes issue with that I believe is hypocritical and saddening.

p.s. I really do not care about pro vs anti discourse, thats not the topic of this post.

also i love Amu and Ikuto I will never stop just because some of you are haters.

imma be real, I hate the terms TMA and TME. It divides trans people much in the same way AGAB does (which, ur assigned gender at birth is honestly imo only important for doctors to know), yes trans women and trans men and nonbinary folk all face seperate flavors of misogyny, but instead of dividing it up on "who has it worse" Trauma Olympics™️ style we should work together to uplift eachother instead of creating a divide away from eachother. Stop dividing us up into categories based around who experiences the "Worse" oppression, because we fucking all face it and we all are fucking dying!! Community infighting makes this shit worse.

Trans women get killed because of transphobia

Nonbinary people get killed because of transphobia

Instead of TME/TMA labels why don't we, idk, fucking help eachother not die???? Instead of creating labels like those and fighting over it fucking help eachother instead, dosnt matter what flavor of trans you are because to the transphobics and TERFs we're all dirty trannies.

I don't hate adults who self ship with minor characters that they age up and ya know why? I do, bc I read the source when I was in middle school (the same age as her in cannon) and then I grew up and she didn't. In my mind it feels like she grew up with me, so I age her up as if she too grew up with me because if she were real that's how it'd work.

I don't talk about it much bc I'm scared of backlash but this I feel like is generally normal but the topic is so touchy it's hard for people to talk about. But yeah, I think it's perfectly fine and I'm not gonna interrogate people who do self ship that way. I will raise a brow at those who don't age them up (or down for minors) though.

Also speaking about aging characters down, if that's perfectly fine for minor self shippers then the opposite should be true too. So I love u adult self shippers who age up minor characters to self ship with. You aren't a predator for doing so.
