I just saw the full season trailer of Discovery season 5:
Wait, is that a Constitution class ship?? Is that the first Enterprise??? Like, Spock's Enterprise???
Or is this a Mirrorverse Enterprise?
this moment. . . i treasure it
From what I've seen of no spoiler reviews for Star Trek Discovery's season 5 -- my theory about Trek shows that reach seasons 4 and 5 remains true.
Most reviews have mentioned that this season's writing feels more confident. According to the spoiler-free reviews Sonqua Martin Green is again a standout but also a lot of the main cast get their due too! It seems like they finally can write to an ensemble. (Don't quote me on that though, this I need to see in action).
Apparently, Callum Keith Rennie's new character on Disco brought a lot of new energy to the show the way Lorca and Shaw (Picard), or as I call it, the Seven of Nine energy where someone is unimpressed with the main crew. And is not an enemy but the characters are forced to stand up to the scrutiny.
It's such a shame this is the final season of Discovery, just when the show finally hit its groove. It makes sense too that they finally get there because they finally have a consistent writing team.
Star Trek Discovery, Final Adventure- April 4
I saw the clip of Discovery s5 and its sad that it took Discovery s5 to finally have the spirit of fun and adventure in its last season.
It feels like Disco only had that for the first 5 minutes of season 1 and then its just one crisis after the other.
Disco crew deserve fun and shenanigans!
so this won't happen but wouldn't it be fun if in the next episode of discovery because they are going to the badlands which are right next to Bajor pretty much they end up near/in the wormhole. And because this season has been touching so much on spirituality it would be insanely fitting for Michael or someone (Hugh?) to have an experience with the prophets. And because they're human they send their human prophet as a representative to help them with their clues to the progenitor tech (he like the rest of the prophets exist outside of time. it is not linear.)
