Really dislike the whole “this man is gay for pussy” meme because it feels to me a lot of the time that it accidentally walks backwards into saying that men (be they straight or any sort of queer with attraction to women) expressing attraction to women in a way that isn’t toxicly masculine is uncharacteristic for that type of attraction.
On top of this it also plays into that kind of weird “testosterone is a poison” thing that TERFs and certain people with little to no actual understanding of how things work like to say which implies that men are all predisposed towards evil and men not playing into traditional gender roles is unnatural.
And as a pansexual cisgender man that makes me really uncomfortable.
I am going to not segue into a rant about the weird way I’ve been spoken to and experienced discrimination adjacent shit because im a queer cisgender man
Anyway this is just a vent post feel free to start a discussion or ask me to clarify what I mean with things.
